It's 3 am. And I don't have an outfit post. While I would have had a post with many many pictures from my photo shoot that I had tonight but my camera battery died. Yes, photo shoots at 2 am make you hot, sweaty, and happy... I miss having nights like this. I'm going to do this more often. You know trying on clothes, styling, doing your hair, attempting make up tricks, and taking pictures, all by yourself.. can be quite therapeutic. Although I am tired, I really needed this. I hope you will try it sometime, if you haven't already. I'll post my outfit tomorrow/later this morning. It's new years eve.. and I'm so curious to what everyone is wearing to their parties! I'm not attending a party, but that's not stopping me from dressing up.

Love what you wear, wear what you love

Today was not a good day. I feel gross. Gross with myself. Have you ever had those days? No matter what you put on, or how you do your hair, or how you pose, you just can't find the confidence to think that you look nice. and then all you want to do is cut your hair, and lay in a bath tub. I don't like this feeling, and I surely wouldn't wish it upon my greatest allies or enemies. I hope tomorrow is a much nicer day.

I am wearing an old gap dress that has always been cut at the ends oddly. But. I still like the design of it, just not so much the structure. I also rolled up my forever 21 denim. I think I roll up, tuck in, pull out, way too much. I can't just leave something the way it was made. I tied a bow to the dress with an old cloth belt, it helps to create a drop waist, and add a finishing touch. I also half-straightened my hair today.. I've been watching James Dean movies till 5 am each night. I need some rest. See you in my dreams.

P.S... I know, a brainy-fashion-expert would tell me that animal print, and circles, do not mix. But you'll know, I never pay attention to color matching. If I like it, I wear it! I sometimes think that's how it should be for everyone. Love what you wear, wear what you love........................

Good evening friends of mine! I hope everyone had a happy Christmas. Mine was nice. I've been busy since the day. My mom and dad know me so well. They got me a scrap booking album with ribbon, and sticker galore, I've been cutting and pasting ever since. Here is a list of the other treats I got

Hello my world! Did everyone have a good day? I'm hoping so. I never got around to the hair tutorial, and for this I am sorry. I woke up late today, 2:30, and finished dressing hours later, then I started to work on a puzzle, so I never had time to let everyone know how I style my hair, I plan to get on that tomorrow or the next day, this I'm promising. I feel slightly better right now, but today really wasn't so great. I'm trying to not think so much. The less I think, the happier I feel... I would like to thank everyone for the comments! this is one of the outfits I bought with my birthday money. Not only do I love wearing this dress, but I love admiring it when it lays or is hung in my wardrobe. I wish it was one size smaller, so that it would fit better without a belt, but I'm not going to be picky, I like it so much that even if it was 20 sizes too big I'd still find some way to wear it. Sometimes, H&M really knows what dream outfits are made of. Thank you H&M.. please never change.

It's late. This time, I am sleepy. Today was no good. I just keep feeling so low.... I need to bring up my spirits before christmas. I guess it's not odd to feel this way especially being 16, and having not a friend to rely on. One day I'll have more than just my mom, dad, and brother on my christmas list... Hopefully, I won't have to wait my whole life for friends to come knocking. At least I have my dear blogger friends. You help keep my heart full while I wait to make friends!

Soo It's cold out. Too cold out! I wanted to get some good outfit photo's today but it's raining icicles, so these photo's were taken too fast, and my feet ended up stuck in a big hole of snow... (which wasn't particularly nice). You just can't see the detailings of my outfit, nor can you see my beloved shoesies! But that's okay, I'll have better photo's the next time I take on this outfit.

Saturday came. Saturday left. 5 more days till christmas! whats on everyone's wish list? I wish I could send everyone a present! But I don't have enough money to do things like that... It would be nice though, wouldn't it. I'd like to thank you all for the comments about my hair! I've really had such a battle with it. I've went through the awkward, hairs too long, hairs too short stage. I've also went through the "I hate my hair more than anything I want to cut it off" stage. But I'm starting to like my hair more and more, really thanks to your heart warming comments. I still do have my days where I feel so upset with my hair but I think that's normal. Everyone wants the hair they don't have! Soooo just for you, I'm going to write a post on how I do my hair, so that you can like your hair too. Saturday! Saturday! Saturday night's all right with me. I've got nothing to worry about, so I worry about nothing. I think I've got fleas or some tropical disease and my spider-sense is tingling. I've got nothing to be afraid of, so I'm afraid of nothing. I've emptied out the cupboard underneath the stairs because I think the sky is gonna fall in. I'm hungry. All I've had today was breton mini's. I just feel like my tummy never wants to be my friend. Do you ever feel this way? Tomorrow, to do list- christmas cookies. I get to decorate ginger bread men, and teddy bears, and more more more! Whats better than decorating christmas cookies you ask? hey mr tambourine man, i'm not sleepy....

Do you know what it's like to miss a friend? I'm sure you do. But do you know what it's like when no matter how many hurtful things they've said or done, and no matter how distant you've grown, and even though it would be weak of you to tell them how you feel, you still can't help but long for a feeling you once had with them. This happens to me a lot. I end up missing the wrong people, the wrong people that don't deserve to be missed. I think I just need to rest my head and listen to christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. birthday pt 2

A birthday of amy's is not complete unless a little bit of shopping is done.. I bought lots and lots of things! I don't feel guilty, because everything was such a great price. I looked throughout three different malls, and I've really found a better way to shop. Here's a tip, try on clothes everywhere than just ask the cashier to put the items you like on hold until their closing. That way you can try on all the clothes you'd like, in all the stores you'd like, and then by the end of your shopping trip you can make a collective decision on what you like the most.. This will make you much wiser, and will make your shopping trip more guilty-free . I put clothes on hold everywhere, and ended up going back to two of the stores and buying the clothes they held for me. Of course, H&M and Zara, being my favorite stores, had the best selection. I always thought there was one h&m here, but I found out, there are two! and..... the one I never knew existed is just a dream. It's two stories, two stories of clothes that make my world spin and spin and spin. They also had a huge section of sales. Big, big, sales. 10 dollar skirts, and 15 dollar suspenders. I was in love. I had to keep reminding myself that I was not in fashion heaven. Happy Tuesday, peace and love. x

I know I've been gone for awhile! I've been occupying myself with many laughs, and many memorable conversations. My birthday was better than I ever thought it could have been. I had a fantastic meal that made my belly full, and the room was full with laughter. I hope next year's birthday is half as good as this one. And now that I have my own camera, I can take many many many many photos! I'll have you know, I am very very happy.

less than 24 hours

it's my birthday! it's my birthday! it's my birthday! here I am, officially, 16 years old, at 11 am tomorrow. right now, I've just been reflecting on the past year. It hasn't been an easy year. It's been rough. To say, it's been the worst year of my life is an understatement. So many ups, downs, highs, lows. So many misspellings, and goodbyes. It's just been really hard to swallow... but.... this year I think of as a transitional year! I hope that this following year will be one of the best years, or atleast 105084 times better than last year. So no longer, 15. No longer. I feel much older, wiser, than 16, but it's still feels like 16 years has been a long long long time coming. 16 used to be the token, golden age. It always felt, to me as a child, that 16 was the age to be. Now that I'm going to be 16, I wonder if this proves true... I should be really excited right now, I know, I just feel a bit offish, which I hope is normal. I got my olympus camera today. It's far beyond amazing. The battery has been charging all night so I never got to snap any photos. But tomorrow there will be lots and lots and lots of photos. Think of it this way, by tomorrow, if the photo's I take were food, well, you'd be all stuffed right up in your bellies!

On a more fashion-y note, I found some black grungy boots at zara for only 60 bucks! I'm heading back there tomorrow when my beloved cousin arrives for my birthday, and I'm hoping to snag them up! I also headed to this fantastic vintage store, lets just say, its amy-azing. I put some stuff for hold, and I'm hoping to pick them up after I recieve my birthday monaaay. So, finally, I have the loveliest camera, I'll be getting money for tops, and shoes, and skirts, and belts, and thinggggggss. Oh I am just thrilled!

Busy beeeee

I am a busy bee. So I only found it fit to wear yellow! Problem is, I checked my suitcase and I forgot to pack anything that is yellow. Sad isn't it. This time I thought, okay, Amy, don't pack your entire wardrobe. Be more selective, Amy... And yes I was selective. I only brought two pants! a few shirts! two jackets! I'm just going to have to get creative! Ah well, at least I have 1 pair of (ripped) black tights, and brown leggings. And fear not, I didn't forget to bring my outfit that I'll be wearing for my birthday dinner... On a much more fantastic note, I am getting an olympus evolt for my birthday. yes yes yes yes yes! I get to pick it up tomorrow and start snapping photos.... Lucky I am. Yellow I am not.

P.S no outfit post today, or yesterday, for I was feeling offish, and plus the camera I've been using is my family's camera with a telephoto lens, so it's only good of use for faraway photos. SO I've left you with some gorgeous outfits that I simply lovvvvvvvvvve. Anyways, cheers!

today is a tuesday

The truth is I don't live in Calgary. Well, not yet. I'm in the midst of a move so I don't officially live there yet. But I am there very often, in fact I am heading there for my birthday. So to me, it is home. Home is where the heart is! Anyways, what a boring day. I have a sore throat, and if you knew me, you would know that I am always sick..... I don't feel sorry for myself, not anymore, I just feel mad! Why me I say! I try to maintain a good health but I guess I fail somewhere. Anyways, if it's not too much to ask, or too selfish,, please hope for me. Please hope that I will be feeling better soon, soon enough for my 16th birthday. Thank you thank you. I'm on my way tomorrow! Wahooo. Hope to take some photos on the way down. :) When people keep telling you that you can't do a thing, you kind of like to try it.

The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration. I wish I had a soundtrack to my life. Every time I watch reality t.v, or movies, it makes me wish this. I think it would be so much fun for music to play every now and then when an event happens in my life. What would your soundtrack be? I think it's much too difficult for me to choose. But I do know my list would contain Damien Rice, Leonard Cohen covers, The shins, the boy least likely to, and of course Marvin Gaye. Oh, the list would have so much more. It would be such a long list you know. It's much too cold outside. Forget fluffy, winter land snow, let's talk about icy, gross, freezing snow. It's just so depressing. The temperature makes it much much harder to dress nicely! But layering can be fun. You know what's odd. I spend most of my life in skirts, and dresses, and the past few weeks, well ever since I've started this blog, I haven't worn one! Isn't that just peculiar. I just might wear a dress tomorrow! Hope everyone's day was full of love.

There was the loveliest snow fall tonight. Not the slushy, yucky, unwelcome kind. It was more of the christmas is here, walking in a winter wonderland, happy kind. No matter how cold I was on the outside, the falling snow still made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. The snow wasn't the only wonderful thing, but, but, but, I also did some shopping today. You could say, I have too many clothes, but I simply do not believe you can ever have too much. Although I'm positive there are people who have way more clothes than I'll ever have, sure there is a limit, but I don't think I've reached it yet. The things I found were, steals. Real steals, deals, bargains. I went to superstore, if you live in canada, and you don't shop there, you ARE missing out. No one shops there, well not in my town, so everything is discounted and cheap everyday. I left the store with a black knitted dress, skirt, green button up jacket, knee high socks, and two pairs of trousers. For less than 60 bucks, I swear. I also checked out my towns mall and headed right to a necklace/accesory store. I left the mall having spent 40 bucks. I found head scarves, muffler scarves, and ties. I'm really happy with what I found. I can't wait to put it all together really soon. Oh yeah, and there may be a few more pics than normal, but this is my favorite, favorite, favorite outfit! I also had a few people stop and ask me about my outfit. People aren't used to dressing up, or dressing different here. The dress code really is tight jeans, tight shirts, big hoodies, and uggs. Nothing interesting. I like to spice things up, I guess... You know it does take guts to strut your stuff!

So today was another day where I really should have worked harder! I'm so behind. I have much studying to be done for Math. And you know, math is hard for me! I'm human, I know, but people tell you that you can do anything you put your mind to, and math is the one thing I just can't bring my mind to. I also had a mcflurry, and nuggets today. Which is really not like me. I'm usually on a health kick but today I thought "live a little!" I really really think all of you should live a little too. 10 more days until my birthday!

Today I wore a vintage blouse. I am sooo in love. It's shape, texture, and pattern is so dreamy. I also wore my urban outfitter thermal leggings, these babies have lasted me for 3 years, 3 whole years! The necklace has been so lovely to me as well. It's lasted me 2 years. It's a gold color and people always st0p to ask me if I'm wearing real gold, as if!... These black boots are ordered online and they are just the dearest most comfiest things ever. They really are great for running around the city when it's icy. Oh and how could I forgot my beloved dkny jean jacket! (It's, of course, thrifted. 4 bucks!)

I had such a dreadful sleep last night. Tossed and turned, tossed and turned. I hardly slept a wink! So luckily, my dear mom let me sleep in this morning until 2 oh clock, wahoooooooo. I felt so rejuvenated, and new. Sometimes you just have to forget your worries, throw away your plans, and catch up on much needed sleep.

Yup, this is my homemade v-neck. I know, hardly a "V" more of an oblong diamond-y shape. Oh I tried. And those aren't really suspenders just a random piece of fabric I decided to tie to my forever 21 thrifted pants. I had difficulty finding something to wear with these pants because they are so dressy, but a basic boring top tucked in can really dress them down.

I know just how frustrating it can be when you're tired and exhausted, but you still want to draw something... I wore an outfit today that was not so comfy. I kept having to pull my dress down and re-adjust my belt, and the portion of my hips that my belt was supposed to fit on just wouldn't cooperate for me today. But that's okay, I'm excited for my comfier outfit tomorrow. I'm planning on wearing my beige fitted trousers, tucked in with my homemade v-neck. it's so basic, but fun! look forward to that..
