Happy Friday! After much searching, and desire, I have finally found myself with the purchase of a gray leather jacket. I have waited, and waited, for this purchase, and for only 40 dollars, I must say, I am happy. I have tried to be a sensible shopper in recent days. I have succeeded. There has been many garments that called out my name, and wept for me to take them home, but I said no, my wallet does not want you. And now, I don't feel guilty. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I bought items that I adore. I bought things that make my world spin. I cannot wait to share my purchases with you! I have a basketball game early tomorrow. I need my sleep. Wish me luck. Happy Weekend to all, and to all, a goodnight. Kissssssssssssssssssss

plenty of photographs in the sea, hope you don't mind!
Amy okay! The party is over. Time to get back into the groove. Find a routine. Here we go. I've been very busy, busy playing basketball, busy grooming, busy researching, busy scrap booking, busy being responsible for my buying. Life has been treating me like a porcelain doll in recent days, delicate and kind. So here I am, happy. and here, for you are the photographs.

dasani and ink.
Hello the world of my blog. I've neglected you! I've been in Calgary, now, for days. I've been busy! Lots of places to go, lots of things to see, lots of people to meet. I'm happy right now! Just for now. I've been struggling though. Hopefully the cloud of unhappiness decides to run away and call out my sun.
I have many photographs to post. I am planning on showing you them very soon. I also have lots of comments, and friends to reply to. So I will, also, get to that when I have a free moment.

apples, oranges, and purple
I have dreams. Dreams of big floral dresses, and long, winding, braids of hair. Dreams of the hats of faux fur, and the jackets of leather. I like clothes, you see. And I have not "really" gone shopping in more than a month. It is for me, a long time. I am ordinarily occupied by looking at bargains and at the stores of my dreams, but lately life has been occupied with me at home. With drawl from shopping, do not fear any more, I shall make purchases this week! I am thrilled and elated! The Fact that I've waited (impatiently) to add to my wardrobe of growth is a true accomplishment to me. :)
I didn't know how to wear these tights without reminiscing a big clown, so I went to my mirror, and took with me boots, tops, and jackets. After an hour of dedication, I created this look...

Tomorrow (finally), an estate agent comes to look at our home so that we can sell it! I'm hoping our house is worth good money. Because with a good price, there will not be such tension when we move officially. Hurray!

SO I fufilled my tagging duty! I now tag the first three people to leave a comment on a previous post.. Here they are sefi, ivana, lizbeth Good luck to you!

I'm the lucky one. I spent my 3 am dreaming of Josh Brolin, and violins. I just have the most vivid dreams sometimes. Don't wake me up! I was glad I awoke though, really I was. The sun was shining, the snow was melting, and for the first time in months I actually felt happy, I mean really happy. I do cherish and relish these moments more than I ever did before. I would never, could never, know happiness if it weren't for those darkening days. I am finally starting to find myself again.
Also, I've been a bit behind! This outfit is actually from Thursday. Finally, I had the opportunity to take photo's outside. I know, I am barely outside you say, but it's still too cold I say! I took a risk being outside without my coat. And you know what, I am glad! Kisssssssssss
hat- hot topic $12
bangles- forever 21 $8

and for fellow bloggers, as you know I've been tagged by my Frenchie, I'm just a procrastinator aren't I! But I'm in such a rush, and I can hear "cell theory" calling my name. Next post, it will be done! Who wants to be tagged?!

and the moons laying low in the sky

I've been sorting myself through blogs this evening, and found myself feeling sad. Everyone has the loveliest photo's taken outside. I can't take picture's outside. It's too cold, and most of the time I'm bundled up in a straight black jacket, and big warm scarf. Once the snow begins to melt, I'm going to run my way outside, and snap much prettier photo's. Until then, hopefully everyone, including myself, can find contentment in okay "inside" photographs. Anyways, today I've been helping my mom clean the house. We've decided that we have to maintain cleanliness in our home in order to sell it. I've been scrubbing the bath, toilet, tiles, anything else that's gross. I actually don't mind cleaning. In fact, I love it! As long as it's not my mess, I can enjoy cleaning it. Is anyone else this way? My mom has been looking into tickets for New York this summer. Yes I said it, NEW YORK! Isn't that exciting? I have high hopes
peace and love
p.s i'm happy to be tagged, thank you to frenchie, but i'll have it done for next post. Kisssssss

featured!!

My loves, my friends! A couple of weeks ago I was asked by a lovely girl if she could do a feature on me and my blog. I didn't hesitate to say yes yes yes. I was thrilled! It turned out to be a lovely interview, and the questions really provoked thought. So I'd like to thank Esme for doing the feature. Please, everyone, have a look, maybe you'll learn something about me, and comment if you can. I had so much answering these questions! ...
What influences your style?
"Nature. I love florals, and earthy outfits. I am also inspired by art. I love wearing colors that I’ve seen in a painting. Sometimes I’ll look at a piece of art and instantly my brain will come up with a new outfit I’d like to wear. I also spend hours in front of my full length mirror, trying on different outfits, and accessories. I am always searching for ways to wear an outfit differently than the time before. I try take anything basic, and make it into something that’s not traditional. Everyday I’m constantly growing, and learning not only about fashion, but also myself."

everybody's got their something

It's far too cold outside. Without Christmas, building jack frosts, and gingerbread men, than the snow outside is just useless! I'm even freezing right now and I'm inside my heated home. Anyways, the pictures here are from my weekend. Don't you think I lucked out with these two pairs of shoes I snagged from value village? I am so happy with them! What's better than finding a pair of shoes you love in your size? Finding two pairs of inexpensive shoes you love in your size!
No outfit photo's today. It's just a lazy Moon day.

is it really 2009?
Thank you everyone for the kind words regarding my Grandfather. What lovely souls you all have... Today I hit my local thrift store to set my spirits high. My reason for going was just to get out of the house, and to spend time with my brother's lovely girlfriend(Megan). I really wasn't anticipating that I would find anything, Oh Amy you should know by now that no matter where you go you are going to find SOMETHING. Well,.. that something turned into two pairs of shoes, and three dresses. For only 24 bucks! This is why thrift shopping is my favorite thing to do. You can have quantity, without sacrificing quality or your bank account. I'll post some pics of my findings tomorrow. I'm hoping Megan didn't mind how long I spent in the change room. I always take too many things, it's just I see potential and like in everything, even if the fit looks to be a drag. You know, it felt so nice to leave my house and see people. I hope I'm invited out into the world more often. I really feel liberated.
lets listen to some groovy music to remind us of happy happy times. I couldn't find the aaron carter version, which is so much better. I don't even know what this one is. Either way, I can't stop laughing. :)

like a bird on a wire
Hi everyone! I am sorry I have been away. I haven't been dressing up lately, and when I do it's followed by a quick change back into my pajamas. I just haven't had motivation, really. Also, my grandpa passed away. I know it was expected, but it still leaves me feeling offish, and sad. The hardest part is this irrational fear of death that always overwhelms me and leaves me sleepless. Worry not warm hearts, I'll be fine. I still have a heavy heart! And I'll continue to dress, continue to write, continue to do things that bring me happiness and sanity.
Saturday
Monday I just can't seem to get this scarf off of me. It's so warm, and cozy. I love you h&m.
Fly on proud bird, you're free at last. Rest in peace Grandpa. I hope you've embarked on a new adventure, Strummin' your guitar with Johnny Cash just like you were meant to.
