I take myself from the bottom shelf

After months of waiting, I finally headed to fashion heaven, better known as H&M. I admit, My expectations were high. I envisioned racks, and racks of beautiful cloth, and cotton, but what I hadn't expected was the unreasonable price tag. I mean, 60 dollars for a basic mini dress? After all of my vintage shopping, and bargain hunting, it's hard for me to buy newer(pricier) clothes with a guilt free mind set.. But! I am far too crazy to leave a store without buying, so I ended up with a beige blazer, striped sailor dress, blue shirt, and a body con skirt with zipper details. I can't wait to take on the new outfits! I am happy! Happy as a lamb. Hope you're happy too. lalalalalalalalalalala!

One day, I was visiting the local drug store, searching for bargains, and I came across this lovely box of lipstick. The colors were endless. Reds, pinks, purples,. If you knew me, you'd know, lipstick is my favorite type of make up. So anyways, instead of purchasing the traditional red or pink lipstick, I opted for ORANGE. Orange lipstick. Yes it's true. I never thought I would buy, or wear orange lipstick. But here I am, happily wearing orange lipstick. Maybe, my next trip will bring me a yellow, a purple, or possibly a green lipstick?? ... :P

I've been wearing my striped H&M top everyday. The possibilities of this shirt are endless. I can wear it tucked in, pulled up, pulled down, tucked out. It matches every vest, every color, every skirt. I am not one to buy basics, but when I do, I find myself wearing them far too often. If my closet had more basics, than I wouldn't have to wear this top everyday.. right?

L'oreal- Double Extend beauty tubes mascara

I have fallen in love. No, not with the boy next door, or the dress that drapes over my bed, but for the make up that has been sent to me courtesy of L'oreal and Matchstick. First of all, my deepest gratitude is sent to Matchstick for choosing me to test these products. I feel deeply honored, and jubilant to have been chosen by you.

The products that were sent to me are in the picture below. A beauty tubes mascara, carbon black eye liner, '904 smokey eyes' eye shadow quad, and star brights eye shadow brush. I have no criticism for any of these products. The mascara, as you will see, creates an enchanting look on my eye lashes. The brush allows me to paint glamorous looks with the smokey eye shadow quad as my palette, and the liner adds a dramatic touch.

The L'oreal eye liner is easy to use. The shape of the liner allows for quick precision. To finish your classic, and gorgeous, smokey eye, all you have to do is follow the simple steps on your eye shadow quad. Me, I am the opposite of a make up artist. My hand is messy, my precision is poor, but with the detailed instructions, I was able to easily and happily create a very charming look.

why walk alone?

good day friends! busy bee, that is me! I am home again in Calgary. . . . I have been occupied, occupied, occupied.. The trip here, the movement there, working, sleeping, eating. I have so many plans! so many places to be! so many friends to see! I have not purposely tried to neglect my blog, or my blogger friends, I am just behind. My life is beginning again. I am sure my life will only get busier BUT I shall always economize time for you, I promise.

Here is the outfit from last week. (I am slow! I know!) The only thing that is not vintage within this outfit is the urban outfitters crocheted vest. I miss urban outfitters. Have a look at their website. They have a new catalog that is full of wonder, and inspiration. Also have a look at free peoples. Sooooooooooooooooo dreamy.

Tomorrow, a friend is here. A friend whom I haven't seen since I was young. She contacted me on face book, and we rekindled a friendship. I am nervous! What if we both have changed too much!? What if we don't get along?! I'm REALLY hoping this isn't an awkward meeting... I shall be happy! And so shall you.

Hello to the world! What a magical, magical, sunny day. The weather has my soul warmed and has left me by feeling full of hope. My heart has been reminded of new beginnings, and the nostalgia of flowers, and warm weather has reminded of this spring day that will one day come to me. At the moment, I am in Grande Prairie. I had the habit of feeling so stifled indoors and turbulent while here, but I do not think this way anymore. I'm proud to feel happy here and glad to feel happier in Calgary. This weather has me feeling that each glance of life looks promising.

This costume I'm wearing in these photographs was taken two or three days ago. And as you know, I was late to travel by post. The pencil skirt is H&M, the high black t shirt is urban outfitters and my over sized blazer of greatness is thrift-ed.

I am sorry to have been occupied and unable to communicate with you this past week. But I have more photographs to post and more stories to tell! There are some things in life more annoying than to burn your tongue before a delicious mocha, but my hurting tongue can't think of any.

So Hello! Hello my friends. It is 7:13. and my day has come and gone, as the speed of light. I'm tired, my head hurts, and I have not accomplished what I planned for the day. I forgot to contact a friend, I never did my science, and I haven't done anything inspiring. I hate to say, one day lost, but it seems that for me.

Yesterday was a better day for me, and yesterday was the day of this outfit. Sometimes I'm so slow to post my pictures that they end up being a day late. Anyways, I really like my gray jacket! and I think it will be worn very often, and may temporarily take the place of my beloved navy blazer..... I still have a love of black leather, but I was not able to find a black leather jacket that sings to the melody of my song. Every dark leather jacket, I have met has the look of a biker girl, and I'm not fond of this. :P

Well! Tomorrow I'm headed back to Calgary, my home. The next day, I have a basketball game. Hopefully this time, My voyage won't leave me feeling so sore and broken. I'll talk to you all soon, and I wish you a wonderful day. Much love, kisses and hugs .

Hello to the good day, and to the happy life. I have lately been tired, so tired. But, despite my sleepy eyes, I have lots of inspiration. Today, I've been browsing through internet sites devoted to runway make up. I love, and love, the art and design of make up. Make up, for me, is no longer restricted to inventing pretty, but make up now has become just as important as the clothes on my back.

I fell in love and once again, with these blue jeans of mine. They are not only "inspired" by the sixties, they are really from the sixties. They were never carried and although they can be a pain to get on at first...., once on, they are comfortable and nice. They have been sent from the sky, to me. In perfect harmony.

The longer my hair grows, the happier I become. There is no plan to cut my hair anytime soon. This long hair plays to the tune of my personality more and I feel much nicer. So here's to the process of cultivating my hair, for a long time, for a long time, for a long time and here's to the adventures I shall engage on my way.

So many pretty comments are sent to me and I fail to answer by instant. I apologize for this. Every comment which is sent makes me feel congratulated and happy. Here I am! Back in Grande Prairie again. I don't want to be here, but right now I'm content. I have lots of school work to occupy my time anyways. I am so sore from the road, and it's bumpy ways. I can no longer travel without feeling like I've been in a riot. This travel breaks my bones, and leaves me feeling useless. It hurts to even type to you right now, but a remedy of sleep will hopefully bring back my mobility.

On a less painful, and more lifting note... I have finally received my "free" Nylon subscription. Dear Nylon, I thought this was too good to be true! but there you were, sitting pretty and patiently waiting for me me to start browsing. I must say, I am very happy with this month's issue. I am hard to please when it comes to which celeb will grace the cover, and this time I am happy. I do think Camilla Belle is a beauty, she is full of youth and eccentricity. The fashion made me happy also. Completely happy. So many pretty costumes to look at without buying and fashion designers did a magnificent job piecing costumes together. Well made nylon.

... Yesterday, After boredom, and my love to take photographs, I decided to make my own mini photo shoot. As you know, I have photo shoots often, because they bring me a lot of joy and glow. I shall post those the pictures soon! In fact, I am going to use one as the new header of my blog. Look forward to that.
